We have been working in the Quinton Community for many years now and have helped keep our community tidy, clean and safe.
2009 sees the start of a new project to continue working in the Quinton Community to help keep it clean, tidy and also offer help to those who are not able to maintain their gardens. The additional dates planned for 2009 are:
Saturday 12th September 2009
Clearing a Garden on Welsh House Farm Road. 10.00am at corner of WHF & Blandford Road.
What we have Done
Working on Welsh House Farm Road, Clearing a very overgrown garden to allow the resident to utilise the garden for the rest of the summer. Photo shows, Fred Fowler, Anthony Gosling, Simon Hudson and Clarence Nkomeshya. Work was done on the 12th September 2009.
Rilstone Road, Quinton. Work to clear an overgrown garden to provide clear daylight into the residents lounge and provide better safety. A large group of BB, GB and church members took part in this. Undertaken in 2008
In conjunction with the police we helped clear an overgrown front garden to provide natural daylight into the property and open up the front entrance to the property to prevent it from being concealed. The resident was a victim of burglary which was made easier due to the vegetation concealing the front door and lounge window.
